Super Huge Mega Extreme presents a new body of work by Heath Nock that considers how the obsessions of boyhood—pop culture fantasies and early symbols of power—shape lasting ideas of masculinity, ego, and dominance. Anchored by the recurring motif of the monster truck, the exhibition reflects on bravado and spectacle as both personal memory and cultural allegory. Nock traces how early fantasies—rooted in entertainment, class, and gendered expectation—carry into adult life and reverberate through culture, politics, and national identity.

Heath Nock is a contemporary Australian painter based in Lake Macquarie, New South Wales. Raised in a family of travelling showmen, his practice is grounded in personal history and shaped by life on the periphery. Nock often draws from childhood memory and popular media, reflecting on how early impressions form lasting ideas about identity and belonging. In 2023, he was awarded the Guy Warren Emerging Artist Award. His work is held in private and public collections, including Parliament House, Sydney.
